Triphala: Ayurvedic combination of three fruits

Botanical: Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica
Sanskrit: Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki
German: Indian gooseberry, Chebulic myrobalan, Belerian myrobalan
English: Indian Gooseberry, Chebulic Myrobalan, Green Myrobalan
Triphala is an ancient Ayurvedic recipe consisting of equal parts of the fruits of the plants Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki. The composition corresponds to the three-part approach that runs through the entire Vedic teachings. The name Triphala can be translated as three-fruit.
Triphala is one of the most famous Southeast Asian herbal combinations, was already used 3500 years ago and still has a central importance in Ayurveda. According to Ayurvedic philosophy, Triphala is supposed to balance the fire energy Pitta and the earth energy Kapha.
As part of a healthy lifestyle, the dietary supplement Triphala from Fairvital can contribute to your well-being.
Amalaki - Indian Gooseberry (Amla Berry)
Amalaki, native to the tropics, is one of the most vitamin C-rich fruits of all. 100 g of fresh Amla berries provide about 600 to 900 mg of vitamin C. It also has a significant content of amino acids, minerals, fatty acids and natural plant substances such as quercetin. The berry is used in Southeast Asia as an ingredient in various vegetable dishes or pickled sweet or sour.
As one of only a few existing plants, it exhibits five of the six Ayurvedic flavors: bitter, sour, pungent, sweet, tart.

Haritaki - Chebulic Myrobalan

Haritaki has been used in natural history around the world for thousands of years. Especially in traditional Chinese herbalism and Ayurvedic teachings, it is one of the most important plants.
In Indian natural history, the heritaki is defined as heating and also has all Ayurvedic flavors except salty: bitter, tart, sour, pungent, sweet.
Value-giving ingredients of Chebulic myrobalan are tannins and flavonoids, gallic and ellagic acids.

Bibhitaki - Belerian Myrobalan (Green Myrobalan)

Bibhitaki fruit, along with Haritaki and Amalaki, is part of the popular and effective herbal blend Triphala. Traditionally, it is used both internally and externally in Ayurvedic and Tibetan health philosophy. Its power is defined as heating and its taste as tart or astringent.
Bibhitaki fruits are rich in phytochemicals and contain appreciable amounts of tannins, polyphenols, gallic and ellagic acids.
