Molybdenum 150μg - 240 tablets - for metabolism - High dose and vegan | Fairvital
Fairvital molybdenum tablets contain molybdenum in the form of sodium molybdate. Each tablet provides 150 µg of the trace element, offering a convenient way to supplement your daily intake as part of a balanced diet. The formula is deliberately simple and consists exclusively of molybdenum and microcrystalline cellulose as a filler. The small tablets are easy to take and are well suited for regular use.
What is molybdenum?
Molybdenum is an essential trace element that the body needs in very small amounts but cannot produce itself. It occurs naturally in foods such as legumes, nuts and grains. Molybdenum is a component of certain enzymes that play a role in metabolism. In this dietary supplement, it is present as sodium molybdate – a highly soluble form that allows for targeted supplementation of the daily diet.

Magnesium as magnesium citrate
Magnesium citrate, an organic mineral compound, is particularly popular because of its good bioavailability. It is soluble in the stomach regardless of the acid concentration and is better absorbed in the small intestine than magnesium oxide.
Magnesium - functions in the body
Everyone needs magnesium. The mineral is important for carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, for cell energy and for the health of bones, heart, nerves, arteries and muscles. Magnesium reduces tiredness and fatigue and relaxes the muscles.
Magnesium is important for health as it is necessary for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It is the fourth largest mineral in the body and is responsible for many aspects of well-being. About 50% of the total magnesium content is stored in the bones, while the remaining part is mainly stored in the cells of the body's tissues and the organs is found. Only 1% of it is available in the blood.
Extensive physical exertion or stress can lead to an increased need for magnesium. One of the first signs of this could be chocolate cravings. Tiredness, poor sleep, muscle twitching (e.g. eyelid) or calf cramps can also indicate that the body needs more magnesium.
Magnesium citrate: bioavailability study
In a double-blind study by Walker and Marakis, the bioavailability of the magnesium compounds magnesium amino acid chelate, magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide were compared. Magnesium citrate showed the best bioavailability and led to a dose of 300 mg/day in both acute (24 hours) and chronic (60 days) therapy significant increase in serum magnesium concentration. The magnesium content in the saliva and the magnesium excretion via the kidneys also increased significantly under magnesium citrate. B-100: for a healthy nervous system
B vitamins are water-soluble vitamins which play an important role in the cell metabolism. Because of their water-solubility, they are excreted with the urine and special attention should be paid to a regular supply.Every B vitamin is either a coenzyme or a precursor of an important metabolism, such as the transformation of the carbohydrates, the amino acids or the fatty acids, and they are essential or the cell division. All B vitamins contribute to a normal energy metabolism.
Vitamin B complex with all 8 B vitamins
Thiamine (vitamin B1)Thiamine is needed for the energy release of nutrients (carbohydrates, protein). Thiamine is also essential for normal functioning of the nervous system and the heart. It also has an importance for the psyche. Riboflavin (vitamin B2)Riboflavin as a coenzyme has an important role in the production of energy from food. It is indispensable in maintaining normal iron levels in the blood and is responsible for the normal formation of blood cells. Riboflavin is also important for vision, skin and mucous membranes and in reducing tiredness and fatigue. Niacin (vitamin B3)Niacin plays an important role in the normal functioning of the nervous system and the psyche. It also supports the function of the skin and mucous membrane. In the context of energy metabolism it can reduce tiredness. Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)The vitamin plays a major role in energy metabolism and can help reduce tiredness. It also supports mental performance and the synthesis of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6)The supplementation of vitamin B6, together with vitamins B9 and B12, can reduce homocysteine levels and contribute to healthy blood vessels. It is also important for general vitality as it is involved in energy metabolism. In addition to supporting the immune system and the nervous system, it promotes mental balance and regulates hormone activity. Cobalamin (vitamin B12)Vitamin B12 supports the function of the nervous system and thus contributes to normal mental function. It also helps maintain normal homocysteine levels and participates in cell division and red blood cell production. Folic acid (vitamin B9)Folic acid is important for the psyche, blood formation and homocysteine levels. It is involved in the synthesis of amino acids, contributes to cell division, the build-up of maternal tissue during pregnancy and to reducing tiredness and fatigue. Biotin (vitamin B7)
Biotin is essential in energy metabolism and the utilisation of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It also supports the function of skin and mucous membranes and promotes strong hair. For this reason it is also known as a beauty vitamin.
Choline and inositol supplement the vitamin B complex. Both substances are components of lecithin, which belongs to the group of phospholipids.Choline also contributes to a normal homocysteine level, fat metabolism and supports liver function.
Good to know: riboflavin changes the colour of the urine
Riboflavin dyes the urine neon yellow, which is often mistaken for a sign of dangerous side effects, but it's only excess vitamin B2, which is excreted with the urine.

Unfortunately not approved for delivery to the Netherlands! Vitamin K2 with vitamin D3
This sensibly combined dietary supplement from Fairvital contains high doses of vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7 and high doses of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol. One capsule provides you with 200 µg of vitamin K2 and 10,000 IU (250 µg) of vitamin D3. As both of these fat-soluble vitamins can be stored by the body, taking one capsule every ten days is perfectly sufficient.
Perfect partners in the body
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 are a powerful team for strong bones. While vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium from food, vitamin K2 ensures that it reaches the bones and does not deposit in the blood vessels.
Different forms of vitamin K2
Vitamin K2 occurs naturally in 11 different forms: MK-4 to MK-14. MK-4 is mainly found in meat and can be produced in small quantities by the body from vitamin K1. The forms MK-5 to MK-9, on the other hand, are found in fermented foods. Of particular note here is the form MK-7, which is obtained from fermented soybeans (natto) and has interesting health properties. The menaquinone forms 10-14 are rather rare and therefore of lesser importance.
Function of vitamin K2 in the body
Vitamin K is involved in blood clotting. In the liver, it activates special enzymes that ensure that the blood clots when injured and closes the wound. K2 also plays an important role in bone mineralisation. It activates the protein osteocalcin, which is responsible for transporting calcium from the blood to the bones and incorporating it there.
Function of vitamin D
In addition to its role in calcium absorption and maintaining normal calcium levels in the blood, vitamin D is important for muscle function and the functioning of the immune system. The vitamin is also involved in cell division.
Vitamin D supply
Epidemiological studies show that large sections of the population have low vitamin D levels. In recent years, scientists have increasingly recognised the importance of an adequate supply of vitamin D3 for all age groups.
Like vitamin K, vitamin D is fat-soluble. To optimise absorption, it is therefore recommended to consume this dietary supplement with healthy fats or oils as part of a meal.
