Along with vitamin A, D and E, vitamin K belongs to the fat-soluble vitamins, although it’s not only one substance, but a group of different compounds with similar chemical structures and effects.
The two most important forms of vitamin K are the natural forms vitamin K1 and vitamin K2. Vitamin K1 (phytomenadione, phylloquinone, phytonadione) is produced by plants and ingested with food. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone, MK4 – MK7) is partly ingested with food and also produced by bacteria of the intestinal flora. Vitamin K2 plays an important role for the body’s calcium balance.
In the past, vitamin K has primarily been associated with blood coagulation, but over the last years more functions were discovered. Scientific studies revealed surprising information.
Heart and vessels
Many people rely on taking calcium supplements or drinking mineral water with high calcium content to make sure their bones stay healthy. If there´s an insufficient supply of vitamin K2 in the body, the calcium will be deposited in the blood vessels rather than being built into the bones. A sufficient supply of vitamin K2 insures the calcium will be transported to the bones and the teeth where it belongs.
A study shows that vitamin K2 is not only able to prevent calcium deposition in the blood vessels, but also reverse existing calcium deposits. First results could be measured after a few weeks of vitamin K2 intake. Although these results are encouraging, more tests have to be carried out.
Bone strength
Bones are constantly built and broken down (bone resorption) and vitamin K2 plays a vital role in this process. It’s necessary to bind the calcium to osteocalcin. Osteocalcin is part of the non-collagen bone matrix and it can also be detected in the teeth. Regarding laboratory diagnostics, osteocalcin is an important parameter to assess the activity of bone regeneration.
Cell health
There are indications that vitamin K2 is able to repair damaged DNA in the mitochondria.

Woher stammt das Vitamin K2?
Der von uns eingesetzte Rohstoff wird fermentativ mithilfe des Bakteriums Bacillus subtilis ssp. natto gewonnen. Dieses Bakterium ist notwendig, um Natto (fermentierte Sojabohnen) zu produzieren. Das Bakterium wird auch ursprünglich aus dem Sojabohnenbrei isoliert. Durch zahlreiche Filtrierungs, Reinigungs- und Weiterverarbeitungsschritte ist das Endprodukt dennoch frei von Sojabestandteilen und wäre daher auch für Personen mit einer Sojaallergie geeignet.
Wie lange ist das Produkt nach Öffnung haltbar?
Unsere flüssigen Vitamine sind nach Öffnen noch mindestens 3-4 Monate haltbar. Das Produkt ist zwar nach Ablauf dieser Zeit nicht automatisch verdorben, jedoch kann der deklarierte Vitamingehalt dann nicht mehr garantiert werden. Sollten sich zudem Änderungen der Konsistenz oder Farbe, im Geruch und Geschmack oder der Verträglichkeit zeigen, sollte das Produkt nicht weiter verwendet werden.

Es überzeugt mich weiterhin. Für Knochen und Muskeln
Ich nehme K2 inzwischen regelmäßig und mag, dass die Einnahme ohne viel Planung funktioniert. Kurz einnehmen, mehr braucht es nicht.

Bin positiv überrascht. Für Knochen und Muskeln
Ich habe das Vitamin mit Absicht ausgesucht, weil ich ausgerechnet diesen Inhaltsstoff ergänzen wollte. Zusammen mit meinen anderen Produkten funktioniert die Einnahme gut.

super Produkt
Ich nehme das Produkt schon sehr lange und kaufe es immer wieder. Die 200 mcg entsprechen genau meiner Tagesdosis. Die Tablette ist klein und lässt sich gut schlucken. Sie enthält keine unnützen Zusatzstoffe. Was will ich mehr.

Ein Muss wenn man Vitamin D auffüllt
Ich nehme K2 schon seit Jahren, da ich an Osteoporose leide und Vitamin D regelmässig nehme. Wichtig ist auch in diesem Zusammenhang Magnesium zu nehmen, damit der Körper es gut verwerten kann. Also K2+ D3+ Magnesium. Alle von Fairvital in Klasse Qualität wie meine Blutwerte zeigen. Klare Empfehlung.

Paket war schnell bei mir, gut geschützt. Kein Grund zu meckern. Da gibts von mir nichts zu meckern. Beim Versand gab es bei mir nichts zu beanstanden.
