The stinging nettle is rich in vital substances
Due to its health-promoting properties, the stinging nettle has been used medicinally and as a food for many centuries. The reason for this is their numerous active ingredients, which make them a valued natural remedy. The valuable substances include:
Chlorophyll, gallic, tannic and formic acid, acetylcholine, serotonin, histamine, glucokinin, silicic acid, vitamin A, B2, C and E as well as particularly many minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron and phosphorus.
In naturopathy, the nettle leaves are used in particular, as the active ingredients can be extracted particularly well there by alcoholic extraction. In general, alcoholic extraction is preferable to aqueous extraction (e.g. tea), because the alcoholic extract contains significantly more active ingredients and secondary plant substances.
Boswellia frankincense contains boswellic acids
Thousands of years ago, the resin of the frankincense tree was used by the Egyptians and was also of great importance in ancient Greek, Roman, Arabic, Indian and medieval medicine. Of the approximately 20 known different species of the frankincense tree, Boswellia serrata, which comes from India and is known from classical Ayurveda, is used in this product, which has a particularly high proportion of Boswellic acids as an active ingredient.
Yucca: rich in valuable ingredients
The desert plant yucca, which is mainly native to Central and South America, has been known to Native Americans for centuries as a valuable natural resource. Their wealth of vitamins, minerals, trace elements and enzymes makes them a popular dietary supplement. In addition, it is particularly rich in saponins.

Fairvital Nettle & Frankincense combines concentrated nettle leaf extract with Indian frankincense from Boswellia serrata and yucca. The daily serving of four capsules provides 1,000mg of nettle extract, 500mg of frankincense extract, and 100mg of yucca extract and is complemented by 160mg of L-leucine.
Three plant extracts thoughtfully combined: Nettle, frankincense, and yucca are plants with a long tradition of use. The nettle extract is obtained from the leaves of Urtica dioica and is concentrated 5:1. It is complemented by resin from the Indian frankincense tree and an extract from Yucca schidigera.
Frankincense with 65% boswellic acids: The extract from Boswellia serrata is standardised to a boswellic acid content of 65%. As a result, the daily serving of 500mg of frankincense extract provides a total of 325mg of boswellic acids in a clearly defined amount.
Yucca with a defined saponin content: The yucca extract is standardised to 1% saponins, providing 1mg of saponins per daily serving. Together with L-leucine, it completes the plant-based combination.
Fairvital quality: The plant-based capsules are vegan as well as gluten-free, lactose-free, and fructose-free. The product is manufactured in Germany according to high quality and hygiene standards.

Brennnessel (Urtica dioica) – Brennnesseln wachsen an nährstoffreichen Standorten und besitzen spezielle Brennhaare. Je nach Anwendung werden Blätter, Wurzeln oder Samen der Pflanze genutzt.
Zu den natürlichen Inhaltsstoffen gehören je nach Rohstoff unterschiedliche Verbindungen. Die Pflanzenteile unterscheiden sich in ihrer Zusammensetzung. Blätter enthalten unter anderem Mineralstoffe und phenolische Verbindungen; die Wurzeln besitzen ein anderes Stoffprofil.
Weihrauch (Boswellia) – Weihrauch stammt aus dem Harz verschiedener Boswellia-Baumarten. Der Harzsaft tritt nach dem Anritzen der Rinde aus und erhärtet an der Luft.
Zu den natürlichen Inhaltsstoffen gehören je nach Rohstoff unterschiedliche Verbindungen. Je nach Art enthält Weihrauch unterschiedliche Harzbestandteile, darunter Boswelliasäuren. Die aromatischen Harze gehörten bereits in der Antike zu wichtigen Handelsgütern.
Im Produkt Brennnessel und Weihrauch von Fairvital zeigt die Rezeptur die eingesetzte Form und Menge der Inhaltsstoffe. Verwendet wird laut Zutatenliste unter anderem Brennnessel-Extrakt 5:1 (Blatt; Urtica dioica L.). Die Zusammensetzungstabelle nennt 1000 mg Brennnessel-Blattextrakt, 500 mg Weihrauch-Extrakt (davon 325 mg Boswelliasäuren) und 100 mg Yucca-Extrakt (davon 1 mg Saponine) je 4 Kapseln. Die Packung enthält 90 Kapseln.

Für aktive Wochen ausgesucht
Wenn Training, Arbeit und Wochenendtouren zusammenkommen, achte ich deutlich bewusster auf meine Ergänzungen. Beim Sport möchte ich meine Auswahl übersichtlich halten – genau deshalb hat mich die klare Ausrichtung angesprochen. Boswellia wollte ich schon länger einmal separat in meine Auswahl aufnehmen.

Nach acht Stunden Sitzen brauche ich erstmal ein paar Schritte
Mein Rücken und meine Beine mögen lange Bürotage deutlich weniger als ich. Gerade deshalb interessieren mich Pflanzenprodukte inzwischen nicht nur nach dem Sport, sondern auch für solche sehr sitzlastigen Wochen. Brennnessel und Weihrauch zusammen sind dabei einmal etwas anderes als Curcuma-Ingwer-Mischungen.

Für mich stimmig – rund um Sport und Tagesplan
Ich trainiere regelmäßig und wollte meine Gelenkversorgung etwas konsequenter angehen. Boswellia passt gut in meine tägliche Anwendung! Für mich ist das genau unkomplizert genug.
