Pine Bark Extract: Standardized to 95% proanthocyanidins
The pine bark extract in this Fairvital food supplement is standardized to 95% proanthocyanidins. Proanthocyanidins are phytochemicals. They were accidentally discovered and isolated in the 1940s. They are colorless bitter substances that belong to the flavanols.
Powerful antioxidant
Proanthocyanidins have very strong antioxidant properties and are therefore able to neutralize free radicals and contribute to cell protection.
Their antioxidant potential is considered one of the strongest among the known antioxidants. If you combine proanthocyanidins, also known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC), with vitamin C or vitamin E, the effect of both vitamins is extended many times over.
Proanthocyanidins can be absorbed very well by the body and also cross the blood-brain barrier.
