Pine bark (Pinus pinaster): The maritime pine is a conifer found in south-western Europe, among other places. Its bark contains various natural phenolic compounds.
The material composition is interesting. Well-known groups of substances include oligomeric proanthocyanidins. Depending on the extraction, different proportions of polyphenols can be concentrated in the bark extract.
