L-ornithine is a non-protein-forming amino acid and a component of the urea cycle. The body uses this metabolic pathway to process nitrogen compounds produced during the breakdown of amino acids.

Erst Muskelaufbau, dann Biochemie-Nachhilfe
Je länger ich Krafttraining mache, desto mehr beschäftige ich mich plötzlich wieder mit Themen aus dem Bio-Unterricht haha. Bei L-Ornithin war es der Harnstoffzyklus, der mich hängen bleiben ließ. Für mich eine der interessanteren Aminosäuren, gerade weil sie im Fitnessbereich nicht ständig im Mittelpunkt steht.

Nach dem Proteinshake hört der Stoffwechsel ja nicht einfach auf :)
Früher war für mich nach „30 Gramm Protein“ gedanklich Schluss. Erst später habe ich mich mit dem Harnstoffzyklus beschäftigt und dabei L-Ornithin entdeckt. Seitdem finde ich die Aminosäure gerade an Tagen mit viel Training und eiweißreicher Ernährung ziemlich interessant.

Passt zu meinen üblichen Ergänzungen, für meine Trainingsergänzung
Für Trainingstage war mir wichtig, dass die Einnahme simpel bleibt. L-Ornithin ist bei mir gut in die Einnahme integriert und ich vergesse es dadurch deutlich seltener.
