Carbohydrates are converted into glucose
Carbohydrates belong to the macronutrients and are an important source of energy for the body. They occur in food in saccharide chains of different lengths and are referred to as monosaccharides, disaccharides, trisaccharides, oligosaccharides or polysaccharides depending on the number of saccharides.
During the normal digestive process, the body converts carbohydrates from potatoes or pasta, for example, into the simple sugar glucose. This is either used as an energy source for various bodily functions such as movement or stored. This happens either as glycogen in the muscles or in the liver or as fat stores for later use.
How does Kidney Plus work?
The ingredient phaseolin from white kidney beans inhibits the breakdown of starch (a polysaccharide). This prevents the release of glucose from starchy foods (pasta, potatoes, baked goods, etc.) that can be used by the body and the starch is largely excreted undigested.
Green coffee with chlorogenic acid
