L-arginine is a protein-forming amino acid that is both obtained from food and produced in the body. It occurs, for example, in nuts, seeds, pulses and animal protein sources. Arginine has several special tasks within metabolism.

One of the best known is the formation of nitric oxide (NO): this small signalling molecule is produced enzymatically from L-arginine. Arginine is also part of the urea cycle, in which nitrogen from amino acid breakdown is processed. The compounds arginine hydrochloride and arginine alpha-ketoglutarate are different forms of the raw material.

Panax ginseng – The ginseng plant originally comes from East Asia. It is particularly known for its slow-growing root, which has a long history in traditional Asian herbal lore.

Its natural ingredients include different compounds depending on the raw material. Characteristic ingredients are ginsenosides, a group of different saponins. Red ginseng is produced by steaming the root and differs from white ginseng in its processing.
