Fairvital DHA 500mg provides DHA-rich fish oil in a convenient softgel form. One softgel contains 1,220mg of fish oil with a total of 675mg of omega-3 fatty acids - including 500mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), 125mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and 50mg of other omega-3 fatty acids.
Focus on brain function and vision: With 500mg of DHA per softgel, the formula provides a clearly defined amount of this long-chain omega-3 fatty acid. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision.1
EPA and DHA for the heart: In addition to DHA, the fish oil contains 125mg of EPA per softgel. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.2 The product therefore combines a high DHA content with additional EPA.

Omega-3-Fettsäuren gehören zur Familie der mehrfach ungesättigten Fettsäuren. Zu den bekanntesten zählen die pflanzliche Alpha-Linolensäure sowie EPA und DHA, die beispielsweise in fettreichem Meeresfisch vorkommen.
Besonders interessant ist die Struktur der Zellmembranen, deren Eigenschaften von der Zusammensetzung verschiedener Fettsäuren beeinflusst werden. DHA ist unter anderem Bestandteil von Membranen in Nervengewebe und Netzhaut. Die Gehalte an EPA und DHA können sich zwischen einzelnen Ölen stark unterscheiden.
