Cordyceps Sinensis has likely been collected and used for at least 1,000 years. The first mention of the fungus appears in Traditional Tibetan Medicine in the 15th century by the physician Surkhar Nyamnyi Dorje (1439–1475). It was first recorded in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1694 by Wang Ang.
Cordyceps - Ingredients
In addition to vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, the Cordyceps fungus is rich in amino acids, including L-Tryptophan. The fungus also contains Ergosterol (also known as Ergosterin), which is a precursor to Vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol).
A special focus is on the polysaccharides (Beta-Glucans).
