What is Cissus?
Cissus quadrangularis is a perennial, wild growing Indian plant of the grapevine family (Vitaceae). Cissus Quadrangularis (Indian: Asthisamharaka) has been an integral part of traditional Indian health care for centuries.
Ingredients from Cissus
According to phytochemical analyses, the climbing plant is rich in ascorbic acid, carotene, phytosterols and calcium. The plant also contains ß-sitosterol, δ-amyrin and δ-amyrone.
Calcium supports bone formation
If there is a lack of calcium in the blood, calcium is released from the bones. It is therefore advisable to always ensure sufficient calcium intake.
