Resveratrol: interesting polyphenol
Resveratrol is part of the plant's own immune system and belongs to the large group of polyphenols. Polyphenols are known for their powerful antioxidant properties and are ideal radical scavengers. The exact name of the active form is trans-3,4,5-trihydroxystilbene.
Occurrences
Resveratrol is found naturally in many plants. These include raspberries, plums, peanuts and Japanese knotweed. Significant amounts of resveratrol are also found in the skin of grapes, with the concentration in red grapes being significantly higher than in white grapes.
Combined with bioflavonoids
We deliberately do not use isolated resveratrol in the Resveratrol capsules from Fairvital, but knotweed extract with 25% trans-resveratrol. If a substance is completely isolated from the original plant, essential properties can be lost.
