Ginseng extract: standardized to 20% ginsenosides
Korean ginseng, also known as Asian red ginseng, has been used in Chinese health care for thousands of years as a general tonic and energizer.
Ginseng is an adaptogen
That means it adapts to the circumstances. With its effect, it aims exactly where the body has a weak point and uses its power there. Ingredients of ginseng
Studies have identified the so-called saponin triterpene glycosides as health-relevant ingredients in ginseng. They are also known as ginsenosides. These are substances that belong to the group of secondary plant substances and have antioxidant properties, among other things.
When buying ginseng, always make sure that the proportion of ginsenosides is shown in the list of ingredients. If the value is 20%, it is a very high-quality ginseng product. If no value is given, it is not a standardized extract and you have to assume that the proportion of ginsenosides is low
Other valuable ingredients in ginseng include essential oils, peptides, phytosterols, fatty acids, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, trace elements and phenols.
