What is Cissus?
Cissus quadrangularis is a perennial, wild growing Indian plant of the grapevine family (Vitaceae). Cissus Quadrangularis (Indian: Asthisamharaka) has been an integral part of traditional Indian health care for centuries.

According to phytochemical analyses, the climbing plant is rich in ascorbic acid, carotene, phytosterols and calcium. The plant also contains ß-sitosterol, δ-amyrin and δ-amyrone.
